MVCAC Choir Fundraising was created to bring meaningful theatre experiences to the community while raising vital support for the Tahoma High School Choir program. Led by directors Pearl Thomas and Sara Rosenfeld, our work blends high-quality arts education with a deep commitment to helping young performers grow in confidence, skill, and creativity. We are proud to partner with the Maple Valley Creative Arts Council (MVCAC), whose support makes everything we do possible. MVCAC generously provides us with space, resources, and the opportunity to operate under their trusted community arts title, giving our programs the foundation they need to flourish. We are especially grateful to Mary Jane Glaser, whose dedication to local arts has opened the door for us to pursue our goals, follow our dreams, and build events that strengthen Tahoma’s performing arts community. Thanks to this partnership—and the passion we bring to every camp, concert, and project—we are able to offer accessible, joyful arts experiences that uplift students and enrich our community.
At MVCAC Choir Fundraising, our goal is to create opportunities where students can explore theatre in a fun, supportive environment while also generating essential funding for the THS Choir program. We aim to make the performing arts accessible to families throughout the community, fostering an atmosphere that encourages creativity, confidence, teamwork, and leadership. Every camp, concert, and event we create is designed to bring people together, celebrate student achievement, and build a strong foundation for the future of choir and theatre at Tahoma High School. Our work is rooted in passion, inclusivity, and a commitment to helping young artists grow.
MVCAC Choir Fundraising proudly presents the One Magical Musical Showcase! Our goal is to give students the chance to explore theatre in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment during mid-winter break. Campers will work with Tahoma Drama performers to sing, dance, and act in a musical revue featuring favorite Disney songs while building confidence, creativity, and teamwork. We aim to make the performing arts accessible to families throughout the community and create an experience that encourages young performers to grow both on and off the stage. Each day is designed to celebrate imagination, collaboration, and the joy of performing, ending with a special performance that brings families together and highlights student achievement.
Our theatre camps offer students a vibrant, encouraging space to learn acting, singing, and storytelling while building friendships and developing performance skills. Under the direction of Pearl Thomas and Sara Rosenfeld, campers rehearse scenes, create characters, and prepare a final show that showcases their hard work and creativity. Pearl brings experience in musical theatre, youth direction, and arts leadership, while Sara works closely in shaping curriculum, staging performances, and fostering a welcoming, energetic environment. Together, they create camps that blend high-quality instruction with genuine fun, ensuring that every student feels supported and excited to grow as a performer.
