Employment, Internships, Achievements, and more.
My proudest achievement was being able to land an internship with the Library of Congress through the Federal Diversity Internship Initiative (FDII), which is a highly selective program across the United States. In this virtual internship, I was able to work with the Talent Learning and Development Division of the Library of Congress's Chief of Human Capital Department. I created a 60+ page manual for future employees to refer to, made logos for the Career Development Program, managed the inbox for the Supervisor Development Program, conducted research regarding trainings, and wrote a paper on the Library of Congress.
Distinction in Honors
As the former Student Director of 2022, I gained so much experience with the students and faculty associated with all things honors. I helped run events, sent out reminders, created a Discord channel, implemented new and old honors traditions, and more. I made sure every detail of each event was ironed out. The biggest events of the year that I ran were the Rose Sale Fundraiser and the Honors Awards Ceremony featuring Alumni and Senior Poster Presentations. I was also a Peer Mentor, who guided new first-year students and transfers as they transitioned into Stockton. In addition, I was the Record Keeper/Space Manager in 2021.Â
Awards that I have received while in the Honors Program were First-Year Excellence, Social Media, Peer Mentor, Good Citizenship, and Distinction in Honors.
I maintained more than a 3.5 GPA during all 5/5 semesters of my college career.
State-wide and nationwide
As the former Public Relations chair, I made videos showcasing the NJ District's Convention and Insight Camp Retreat. In addition to earning an NJ District scholarship, Distinguished Club Committee Chair and Outstanding Club Committee Chair, I was anonymously nominated to be a part of the Circle K International Society of Distinguished Collegians.
I was awarded this for my student involvement in academic and co-curricular experiences. Graduating seniors with at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA are eligible for the L.E.A.D. Award. Fulfillment of 3 tiers (Service, Leadership and Development) is essential for being awarded with this honor as well.
In the course Social Research Methods, I recognized the importance of data literacy, ethics, and research analytics.
I was a dedicated Interviewer at the Polling Institute that went from calling NJ residents to texting them for research purposes. I also was honored to work with retired Judge Julio Mendez with his Law Day 2023 presentation and at the William Hughes Center to take inventory of the artifact collection.
Self-employed
As a pet sitter, I created my own mini-business to ensure organization of my bookings. I have booked clients that own cats, dogs, bunnies, chickens, fish, birds, and hermit crabs. I created a website and created a Calendly to arrange appointments and demonstrate professionalism.
