 Dear Parents,

We hope everyone had a fabulous Mother's Day weekend! Please see the above dates to remember for events this month.

We are in the final weeks of the (4th) nine weeks of the school year. We are in the process of finalizing grades. We will be speaking to students about continuing to give their best effort each day. Be sure to check your child's Skyward grade book (see below for instructions on how to set up Skyward notifications for grades) and Canvas to make sure they are up to date with all of their assignments. Speak with your child about giving their best efforts as we continue to learn and make progress this school year.

Some students have lost or used up their scissors, crayons, markers, and/or colored pencils. Please check with your child to see if they need to be replaced. All students will need a new Math Journal ASAP-we use it daily and many students are running out of pages. Please send a new Math Journal to school with your child if you have not already done so.

Please view the Canvas Tutorial Video Mrs. Magana has made to help navigate in Canvas to find assignments, organizations tools, and to view student work submitted with teacher feedback/grades.

Please send your child each day with their iPad fully charged, headphones/earbuds, and a drawstring or canvas bag to carry their things when switching classes. It is the expectation that students are to be organizing their work by subject in their EFF (expandable file folder). This helps students to be organized and keep up with their work.

Please use this helpful Canvas Parent Site to sign up to pair with your child's Canvas account. We sent a parent pairing code sheet in last week's Tuesday folder. There are also tips on how to access information such as setting up assignment and grade notifications, viewing your child's assignments, and viewing you child's grades. You may also ask your child to pull up their Canvas assignments in their calendar and grades on a regular basis. This will help your child to communicate with you about what they are doing in class and how well they are understanding the content each week.

Please encourage your child to focus/participate during instruction, complete their assignments to the best of their ability, and turn in their assignments to Canvas on time. Most materials, resources, notes, and assignments will be posted in each teacher's Canvas Course.  The lessons are set up for your child to work on daily.  These assignments are due no later than Friday of each week. We would like students to finish them throughout the week so that they are not overwhelmed at the end of the week. Please email us if you have any questions.

Please use Skyward grade notifications and Skyward to access your child's grades (see instructions below ⬇️ on how to set up grade notifications in Skyward). Students will be taught how to access Skyward through Class Link/LHub to check their grades. Students should be writing their assignments in their planners daily.

 Have a great week!
