Coastal Ocean Observing System for Ocean Color Monitoring
For the purpose of phytoplankton bloom prediction
For the purpose of phytoplankton bloom prediction
As supported by Burapha University and Thai Science Research and Innovation (TSRI),
the project aims to provide continuous measurement of seawater along the Chonburi coast of Thailand to better understand and predict phytoplankton bloom events.
Real-time measurements
A continuous seawater measurement station with temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and chlorophyll-a sensors were deployed on February 2nd, 2024.
Field measurements
Our team conducts monthly measurements at 6 inshore stations: CHI, ASI, BS, WP, BPI, and SR.
8 offshore stations, comprised of BK1, BK2, BK3, CHO, ASO, BPO, SR1, and SR2, are measured every 3 months.
