In recent years, phytoplankton bloom problems have become more frequent and long lasting which cause drastic impacts on the local economy and health of the community.  Our team, supported by Burapha University and Thai Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), aims to continuously measure  seawater along the Chonburi coast of Thailand to better understand phytoplankton bloom events. The study hope to ultimately provide a predictive model for phytoplankton bloom events which will help mitigate losses to the local community.
