Description

Gyeongsang National University in Jinju is currently seeking applicants for its Winter English Camp.  The camp runs from January 11th to January 22nd 2026. There is a mandatory orientation day for teachers on January 10th.  Elementary School students from around the southern part of the peninsula will participate in a variety of events where they will use English in practical ways. The camp is designed to increase English-speaking confidence and motivation through active participation in themed events.

Candidate Qualifications

• Experience teaching young learners in Korea

• Native English Speaker with a University degree

• All F visa holders are welcomed

• No E-2 visa holders will be accepted

• Currently living in Korea with a valid visa

Working Conditions

Dates

• Mandatory Orientation on January 10, 2026 

• Camp begins January 11, 2026

• Camp ends January 22, 2026 

Teacher Responsibilities

• Teachers might be required to create some materials to supplement camp materials

• Teachers will be tasked with classroom and activity management 

• Teachers will be asked to write student reports.

Schedule

• Daily meetings will begin at 8:30 am in the Teacher’s office to prepare

• Approximately 8 classes daily 

• Classes 40-50 minutes followed by a ten-minute break

• 1-hour break for lunch

• 1-hour break for dinner

• We will work on the weekend

Room and Board

• Teachers will be provided a dormitory room in our student dorms

• Teachers will be provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the student cafeteria

Compensation

• 3 Million Won (before taxation) upon completion of contract

• Gyeongsang National University is now looking for qualified Instructors to work for the Division of Language Education(DLE) in Jinju, South Korea. The DLE holds English language courses with varying objectives. Responsibilities include credit courses during the semesters and non-credit conversation classes held on a monthly basis as well as summer and winter classes as needed. Qualifications

• Native English speaker & citizen of one of the 7 main English-speaking nations*

• BA from an accredited university in one of the 7 nations*

• Candidates already residing in Korea

• English-teaching visa holders required

• MA or PhD preferred but not required

• English Education, Linguistics, or Education major preferred

• TESOL, TEFL, ESOL, CELTA, DELTA or other relevant licenses/certificates preferred

• Candidates who are active in some form of academic research and/or professional pursuits are highly preferred

Salary & Benefits

• Renewable one-year contract

• 2.3 to 2.5 mil Korean Won per month depending on degree

Job Description

 1. Roles and Responsibilities

As an English subject teacher, you will help the students prepare for exams and create a comforting learning environment. 

You will be responsible for the following: 

• Teach basic to advanced English reading, writing, speaking, and listening

• Actively engage students in the learning process.

• Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect an understanding of the learning styles and needs of students.

• Recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group. 

• Offer support and flexibility as needed.

• Utilize technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.

• Participate in professional development activities that are aligned with the assigned curriculum and the varied needs of students

• Grade homework and give feedback

2. Candidate Qualifications

• Native English Speaker

• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

3. Working Conditions

• Student Type: Elementary

• Curriculum: Curriculum and lesson plans provided

• Teaching Hours: 30 classes per week

• Class Time: 60 minutes per class

• Class Size: 10-12 students per class

• Lunch Hour: 12:00 P.M.-12:50 P.M.

Salary
