January
Good morning WK, it’s January 14, Day G and these are your morning announcements. WK would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki , the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. We are all Treaty people, and our relationship is based on peace and friendship. Acknowledging Mi’kmaw traditional and ancestral territory is a way of showing respect for and honouring our shared Treaty relationship. It is one of many important steps we can take toward reconciliation.

On the morning of the breakfast, all grads with allergies or restrictions are also asked to remind the servers of what you can and cannot have (for example: eggs, dairy, or the need for gluten-free pancakes).
Thanks for helping us make sure everyone is safe and included!
OTHER INFORMATION
Exams start January 28th. You can find the exam schedule on West Kings school website or ask any of your teachers to help you. Please take the time to confirm what exams you have, what course section you are in, that you don't have any conflicts (if you do talk to the course teachers ASAP), what time you are writing and room you will be writing in. Do not leave it to the last minute.
We recognize that African Nova Scotians are a distinct people whose histories, legacies and contributions have enriched that part of Mi'kma'ki known as Nova Scotia for over 400 years.
