Learning In Action
The purpose of this website is to connect families with classroom learning and to extend student curiosity through experiences at home.
I would like to acknowledge that I am in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw People. The Treaties of Peace and Friendship cover this territory.
From September to November students will be learning outside daily! Parents, please support your child dressing accurately for the weather to ensure they have the best learning experience possible.
Umbrellas are not permitted as students need to be able to use their hands to engage in learning activities.
If you require support obtaining proper weather gear please email amy.flett@hrce.ca
Through a foundation of social emotional learning, students will explore monthly themes in a reflective and supportive environment.
Learners will analyze and evaluate evidence, arguments, and ideas using various types of reasoning and systems thinking to inquire, make decisions, and solve problems.
Learners will demonstrate openness to new experiences; to engage in creative processes; to make unexpected connections; and to generate new and dynamic ideas, techniques, and products.
Learners will express themselves and interpret effectively through a variety of media. They participate in critical dialogue, listen, read, view, and create for information, enrichment, and enjoyment.
