How to Use
Highlight the text you wish to practice reading out loud from either a Google Doc or a Web page.
Click on the icon and a new tab will open with your selected text and several support tools including Hover Speech, Dictionary, Picture Dictionary, Text to Speech, Screen Masking and Translator.
Click on the microphone when you are ready to record.
Click on the stop button when finished.
The stop button will become a play button for you to listen to your recording.
You can re-record by pressing the microphone button.
You can send the recording to your teacher by clicking the 'Send to Teacher' paper airplane icon and entering the email address.
Can practice independently and submit audio at their own discretion
Can use text to speech to listen to passage/sections of passage and then practice
Builds vocabulary by seeing and hearing the words read aloud and then pronouncing them
Students can self-correct building confidence and fluency
