Core French Daily Routines

In our Core French class, students can come to expect the following activities and routines:

  • Students will be split into four "teams", which will compete against each other to see which team can score the most points by achieving the course outcomes and successfully completing activities.
  • Each Monday of Week 1 schedule, we will spend the class going over French basics including the alphabet, numbers, weather, calendar, etc. These topics will be repeated using games and individual choice of activity and are meant to solidify the most common French words.
  • Each day at the beginning of class, we will listen to a new French song/artist and explore some of the lyrics.
  • Each Friday of Week 2 schedule, we will have a chance to watch a show or movie and go over the conversational language in the video, picking out common phrases and meanings that may be beneficial in the real world.
