These are the activities that the board has created for the next two weeks. I think they are great! If you would like to use some activities from here, and some that I am providing, or solely use only one of the programs, that is completely fine. Do what is right for your family at this time!

I am open to any feedback. I'm sure this format will be evolving as we move along.

Hello Sambro Elementary,


I hope that everyone is staying well during this time.

I miss seeing the students and enjoying our time together in the gym. I look forward to when we can all be back together enjoying time at school.


I hope that you and your children are finding ways to stay active and healthy with the limitations that are currently in place.

Starting April 8th, I will have office hours from Monday to Friday 9-10am where you can reach me for a quick response or to have a more in depth discussion. Any other times during the day I will also do my best to get back to you as soon as I can.


I have set up a Youtube channel for our students to engage in some physical activity from home with me. I will be posting videos for Tuesday and Thursday mornings. (this is the Thursday video currently loaded). We will be starting with simple fitness, strength and flexibility exercises to start. While it is not mandatory to participate, it would be great if your child (or children) would like to join in. Please feel free to send any feedback to me via email dselkirk@hrce.ca or in the comment section of the page.
