· CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Music Students - 2022 Concert Information - REMINDERS

Dear Parents and Students;

The Malcolm Munroe Middle School music department will hold its annual Christmas concert day on Tuesday, Dec.13th.THIS CONCERT IS FOR CONCERT BANDS/CHOIR/JAZZ BANDS, There will be two shows at 12:00 and 7:00 P.M. Both concerts are open to the public. The afternoon matinee can be ideal for family members who may have long distances to drive and offer options to families who need to consider multiple schedules.

Students involved will need to have their lunch from 11:15-11:45 a.m. There will be several people coming to the concert, including some guests from local elementary feeder schools.

Malcolm Munroe students who are participating in the concert will need to be in their concert spot and ready to get started by 11:50 a.m.

Students are reminded to come to school that morning in their uniform. Choir students will get their vests from Room 219 on the morning of the concert.

For the evening concert, students are asked to arrive at the school by 6:30.

Students will be in a designated area (depending on what group they are in). This is where we will line up and tune before the performance.

SNOW DATE: If school is canceled on December 13th, our snow date will be Friday, December 16th. We hope that we will have good weather!

We are looking for any parents who would be interested in helping supervise students in the cafeteria before the concert (6:30 - 6:55). (Potential volunteers should have the appropriate background checks required to participate in any program where there is contact with students). We also need a few adults to collect donations and hand out programs at the entrance to the gym at 6:15 - 7:00. Anyone interested can contact mmacneil2@gnspes.ca or j-anderson@gnspes.ca .

Admission to the concert is by donation. There are no advance tickets. We will also be collecting non-perishable food items at the door, and will donate all items to our Malcolm Munroe Food Drive.

Thanks to everyone for your support as we prepare for this exciting day of music which is sure to put everyone in the holiday spirit!
