Chamber Music Workshop
I am running a nation-wide project called Forecasting the Canadian Wind. In short, we are connected with 5 wind quintets and premiering 5 new pieces in 5 different cities in September. We are in the creation process right now and Halifax is the last stop of all the cities. On Wednesday, May 23rd, we are having a few music students from across the province come participate— some chamber music workshop/coaching in the morning and in the afternoon, they’ll have the opportunity to participate in a live streamed workshop where Fifth Wind will work with composer Emily Doolittle.
I am reaching out to see if you would be interested in participating in the events? It’ll likely be at Dalhousie. The following is the schedule:
Wednesday, May 23
10-12 chamber ensemble workshop
1-3 new composition workshop
All the events are free to the students and general public! If you know of any other schools that might be interested, please help us spread the word!
