Technology is an essential component for supporting students with LD in the classroom. Mobile devices enhance learning with access to the regular curriculum through digitized text, supporting the writing process, aiding working memory and organization, as well as providing varied opportunities for demonstration of knowledge using creativity apps.
We purchase apps in bulk for LD students and using Mosyle (a remote management system) to ‘push’ recommended apps to student devices.
Assistive Technology (AT) is an umbrella term that includes assistive, adaptive and rehabilitative devices. This includes the process used for selection and implementation of each device. AT promotes greater independence by helping people to maintain or enhance functional capabilities.
