Eligibility

Coach Age Restriction

Any coach under the age of twenty-one (21) must be accompanied at all times by a teacher on staff. The head coach of any SSNS activity must have reached the age of majority, nineteen (19).

Community Coaches

All SSNS community coaches that do not hold a teaching position at a Regional Centre of Education or a teacher at a member private school must follow all policies and requirements for volunteers as outlined by the Regional Centre of Education or CSAP/MK Board or requirements of the private school.

Making Headway in Sport

NCCP Making Head Way in Sport is the NCCP’s free, online answer to the prevalence and ambiguity of concussions in sport. Parents, coaches, and athletes all benefit from knowing as much as possible about concussions; this online learning tool is designed to help coaches gain the knowledge and skills required to ensure the safety of their athletes. 

Safe Sport

Safe, inclusive sport environments help make sport rewarding and enriching for all. Safe Sport Training gives you the knowledge and skills to create those environments by recognizing, addressing and preventing maltreatment in sport.
