Transcript Information
Transcripts for Nova Scotia Universities and NSCC
Students applying to a Nova Scotia University or NSCC no longer need to request their printed high school transcript. When you apply online and give them your student number, they will automatically be able to access your high school in progress transcript and your final transcript upon graduation.
Current students applying outside of Nova Scotia will still need to request their transcript from the guidance office.

NSCC have several awards and bursaries available for students who have a confirmed seat in a program, as well as for prospective students to apply for prior to admission to NSCC.

Jean Lumb Foundation Awards
Value: $1,000
Deadline: May 25, 2026
These awards are specifically for students of Chinese heritage, who are Canadian Citizens or Landed Immigrants, and are graduating in June. There is a $1,000 award for excellence in each of the following categories: athletics, academics, the arts, community service, defense of the environment, dignity of life, and innovation.

Sister Beatrice Regan Bursary
Value: $500.00
Deadline: May 27, 2026
Awarded by St. Andrew’s Catholic Women’s League in Eastern Passage, the Sister Beatrice Regan Bursary will be awarded to a deserving grade 12 graduate from Eastern Passage/Cow Bay, showing merit in school, church and community. Interested students are asked to send a short letter indicating their interest in the bursary and how they feel they qualify to D. Dartmouth NDP Community Service Award 2026
Value: $1000.00
Deadline: May 31, 2026
This award will be given to one student from Island View.
Consideration for the Dartmouth NDP Community Service Award is based on the follow:
Volunteerism (how often, how long you’ve been doing it, what kinds of things you do with and for the organization);
Reasons and motivation for volunteering (like what kinds of things you have learned from and through that experience);
Experience volunteering in elections or with candidates for office (municipal, provincial, or federal); and,
Why you choose to volunteer at and with the organizations you work with.
Applications should include:
A 250 word letter about your volunteering experience.
A reference letter from a teacher, mentor, or someone you volunteer with/for, etc.
Your CV/resume
Applicants do not have to have plans to attend secondary education to be eligible, and a transcript is also not required.

Scholarship Program for African Nova Scotian Students
Value: $1,000 to $4,500
Deadline: May 29, 2026 for University Applicants (July 31, 2026 for College Applicants)
The Department of Education & Early Childhood Development offer University Entrance and College/Trade School Awards each year to African Nova Scotian (Black) students. Applicants must also be a Canadian citizen whose parent(s) is/are of African descent (Black); must be a resident of Nova Scotia; and must have attended High School in Nova Scotia.

Medavie Scholarship
Value: $5000
Deadline: May 29, 2026
Available to youth who are living with a mental health challenge of their own or that of a family member and are pursuing health-related post-secondary studies at a recognized Canadian university or community college and plan to pursue a career in their health-related field of studies. Each scholarship will be renewable for up to three additional years, subject to continued eligibility.

Africville Heritage Trust Society Scholarship Awards Program
Value: $1000
Deadline: May 30, 2026
To be considered for the Scholarship Program, the applicant must a Canadian citizen, a former Africville resident or a descendant of a former Africville resident. The Scholarship Committee may also consider applicants who do not meet this requirement, but have through their educational pursuits, demonstrated an effort to further the purpose of the AHT (to keep alive the memory and spirit of the community of Africville through interpretation, education and dialogue), through community advocacy initiatives, research, publications, and training, and entering a Canadian accredited post-secondary institution in the fall.

NSGEU High School Essay/Artist Expression Award
Value: $500.00
Deadline: May 31, 2026
THe NSGEU High School awards are being made available to all graduating Nova Scotia High School students who would wish to apply. The application simply requires completion of the application with all identifying information completed and a 750 word essay or a form of artistic impression such as video, art, etc on important union activities they have seen in their community.

The Louise Joanne Twerdy Leadership Bursary
Value: $10,000
Deadline: May 31, 2026
Open to Canadian citizens who have themselves been severely injured or who have had a parent (or legal guardian) or sibling killed or severely injured as a result of an impaired driving crash and who are enrolled in a full-time, ministry-approved, post-secondary educational program for the upcoming academic year. Injuries must be catastrophic or severe and have had a significant impact on the applicants’ lives.
