How to get involved

The membership of the Student Advisory Council is made up of the following ten members:

Principal

Two Parents/Guardians

One Teacher

One Support Staff Member

Three Students

Two Community Members

SAC Meetings are open to the public, and members of the public who wish to address the school advisory council are asked to inform the SAC through the chair or school principal in writing at least one week prior to the school advisory council meetings. They may address the meeting at the discretion of the chair.

Agendas will allow for a ten-minute period for input on the agenda items from the public in attendance at the council meeting.

Membership

Parents:

Must have a child at Islands Consolidated School and cannot be a Tri-Country Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) Employee on staff at Islands Consolidated School
Staff members cannot sit as Parents on the SAC.

Teacher

Must be on staff at Islands Consolidated School

Support Staff

Must be on the support staff at Islands Consolidated School (admin assistant, ECE, teacher assistants, etc.)

Community Members:

May be an employee of TCRCE but NOT the school
Must not have children registered at Islands Consolidated School
Must reside in the geographical area served by Islands Consolidated School
