The following resources may be helpful to promote healthy eating in schools.  

The Food and Nutrition Policy for Nova Scotia Public Schools is intended to increase access to and enjoyment of health-promoting, safe, and affordable food and beverages served and sold in Nova Scotia public schools. The objective of the policy is to help make the healthy food and beverage choice the easy choice in the school setting.

Healthy Hydration

This cooking activity gives students the opportunity to learn about healthy beverages choices as well as make and taste fruit-based smoothies and fruit infused waters.

This poster uses the Red-Yellow-Green stop light concept to promote reduced sugary drink consumption.  It can be used as an educational poster to create awareness about sugary drinks and to teach students about drinks they should drink rarely, if at all (red), occasionally (yellow) and plenty (green).
