Greg Doyle was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. At the age of 5, Greg and his family moved to Boutilier's Point, Nova Scotia. His family grew up in the St. Margaret's Bay area for close to 20 years.
He attended Tantallon Junior High and Sir John A. Macdonald High School. Greg attended St. Mary's University in 1996, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in French and Political Sciences. He was then accepted to Memorial University of Newfoundland where he graduated with honors in Secondary Studies. He has since completed his masters degree from Mount Saint Vincent in Curriculum Studies, focusing on Technology Integration.
Currently, Greg works within the Halifax Regional Centre for Education as a French Teacher. He has taught at Graham Creighton Junior High is Cherry Brook, at Madeline Symonds Middle School in Hammonds Plains and Sir John A Macdonald High before coming to Charles P. Allen.
Greg is an avid curler, golfer and baseball player. He has won a provincial championship in curling, his club championship four times and won several regional baseball championships.
Greg is currently the President of the Halifax Curling Club, has been chair of many curling events, such as the 2009 Nova Scotia Provincial Junior Curling Championship and is the director of the school program of the 2010 Tim Horton's Brier and the 2015 Ford World Men's Curling Championship.
He lives with his wife Kimberley and nine year old daughter Maylyn in Hammonds Plains, NS.
