Assessment & Evaluation

Students in Grade Six Collins will be assessed and evaluated throughout the school year using a variety of assessment and evaluation tools. These assessment and evaluation tools make up the three categories of assessment: assessment for learning, assessment of learning, and assessment as learning. Examples of the diagnostic, formative and summative assessment and evaluation tools I use (and other important assessment information) are described in the 'Assessment & Evaluation in Grade Six Collins Book'. The following is the rubric used to assess student knowledge, understanding of the content and concepts, and application of the related skills. These levels are used in conjunction with the outcomes. Please review the curriculum pages for a list of outcomes the students will be learning this year.
