Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, lunch included & on site.
Location: The Joseph Strug Concert Hall, Fountain School of Performing Arts, 1385 Seymour St. Halifax, NS.
The Fountain School of Performing Arts welcomes Nova Scotia Drama Teachers to their studios for a day of professional development and creative exchange around the topic of: Intimacy Direction for Schools, with FSPA alumni & Intimacy Director Ella MacDonald.
Intimacy direction is the practice of safely and clearly choreographing and rehearsing moments of physical closeness, emotional vulnerability, or romantic/ sexual content between actors in theatre and live performance. This kind of approach is becoming industry standard and there are various techniques we can duplicate in the classroom and on stage to ensure our own and student safety and protection.
