Heritage Fair is a grades 4–9 program that invites students across Nova Scotia to conduct heritage-focused research and present their projects at local fairs that culminate in a provincial fair at Saint Mary’s University in June.
GuysWork is a school-based healthy living program for adolescent boys designed to challenge harmful masculinity norms & promote healthy self-expressions.

Restorative Classrooms
Through the Educational Leadership Consortium of Nova Scotia, schools can access in-person modules on restorative approaches that foster inclusion, belonging, equity, well-being, and stronger school climate. Glenn Thompson can provide restorative classroom and leadership training.

Gender Based Violence
Nova Scotia is rolling out a province-wide gender-based violence and bystander intervention education within the Health Education curriculum in grades P-9 and the English curriculum in grades 10-12, ensuring students from P-12 learn to recognize, prevent, and respond to GBV and related harms.
Student-run, safe and protected spaces for 2SLGBTQIA++ students and their allies are integral in promoting inclusive school culture. 2SLGBTQIA++ initiatives focus on advocacy, education & support and work to combat discrimination.

The new SEAL position supports student voice, leadership, and action in schools by working WITH students to identify and address wellbeing and equity issues. This role bridges adult-led equity work with student-led wellbeing initiatives, ensuring students are meaningfully engaged in shaping school culture. We are promoting SEAL as a ‘lead team’ approach, with rotating PD opportunities.
