Course Selection Process
Thursday, Jan. 16 at 6pm at CPA: CP Allen High School will be hosting an information session for current grade nine parents/guardians regarding grade ten programming and course selection for the 2025/2026 school year. This session will be held on Thursday, January 16th starting at 6 pm in CP Allen's school cafetorium. We hope to see you there!
Wednesday January 22 (6:30 -7:30pm) West Bedford High Grade 10 Parent session at West Bedford. West Bedford High School will be hosting a grade 10 information session for parents of current grade 9 students to discuss what West Bedford High offers, discuss the FIT (Flexible Instructional time) model and answer any questions you may have. This session is for parents only as students will be getting their own sessions at school through our school counselors. Here are a few things we offer:

Jan. 23: West Bedford High Counsellor and O2 Presentation for students at RLJH (to take place during the school day)
Jan. 27 : CPA Counsellor presentations to students at RLJH (to take place during the school day)
Jan. 29: CPA O2 Coordinator presentations to students at RLJH (to take place during the school day)
Students confirm access to their student Power School portal, which is required in order to complete their registration for high school. Instructions to reset their password can be found below.
Rocky Lake counsellors will invite all Gr. 9 students to join the High School Registration Google classroom.
Students interested in the IB program see below for additional information .
Feb. 3-5: Rocky Lake Counsellors will follow up with classes to answer questions and help them complete a paper copy of their registration/course selection sheet.
Friday, Feb. 7: O2 Applications due for CPA and West Bedford
Tuesday, Feb. 18th: CPA O2 Interviews will be taking place at RLJH. Students were given practice interview questions and their interview time.
Feb. 7-19: Time to discuss and review course selection sheets with families.
THURSDAY, FEB 20: All Course Selection Forms are due in to Homeroom Teachers
Friday, Feb. 28th: West Bedford High School O2 Interviews will be taking place at RLJH. Students were given practice interview questions and their interview time.
March3-March 7: Rocky Lake counsellors will assist students to input course selections into Power School

Note: The O2 program is a limited enrollment program, so not everyone who might be interested will be selected.
Parents are encouraged to attend the Information Session at CPA and WBHS.
The O2 Coordinators (CPA and WBHS) will speak to grade 9 classes at RLJH
Look at the information available below.
If you are still interested in the program, print and complete the application form.
Return your completed application form to your school counsellor no later than Friday, Feb. 7. Application forms will then be delivered to the high schools.
Interviews with the O2 coordinators will likely take place prior to March Break. Stay tuned for info.
The selection team will choose students who they believe will be good candidates for the program.
Successful applicants should be informed by the end of March.
