All About Me...

Welcome to 6th grade Social Studies! I am so excited to be back in the classroom! 

I grew up in Bartlett, TN attending SCS schools. For fun I enjoy working in my garden and in the school's exploratory garden! I am also a teacher sponsor for Riverdale's Raider Theatre. My favorite place to spend the summer is on the beach with my family. My daughters both attend GMSD schools and they keep me busy with their dance competitions and theater events. 

I have spent over 25 years in education, with 17 of those being a school counselor PreK-8th, and the rest as an elementary or middle teacherr.  I have taught middle school ELA, S.S.,  & Life Skills, as well as 2nd Grade and virtual 3rd. 

I have a B. A. from Sweet Briar College in Psychology and certification in Elementary Education (K-8th) & Early Childhood Education (PreK-2nd). I then got my Masters In School Counseling from UT Martin, followed by an Ed.S. & Ed.D. from Union University In Educational Leadership and Administration. I have worked In 5 school districts, 4 schools, and in two states!
