Every student at HHS receives a Chromebook to use for learning activities and assignments during the school year. Here's a quick intro to your new Chromebook. Please drop by the Tech Office in room M12 for in-person assistance during school hours!

Logging Into Your Device

To login to your Chromebook, you'll use your GMSD Google account information.

Email: firstname.lastname@students.gmsdk12.org

Password: Gmsd + 5-digit Lunch ID (If your Lunch ID is not a five digit number, add zeroes to the front. Ex: If your lunch ID is 1234, your Google password will be Gmsd01234) The lunch ID is also called the “Other ID” in Skyward, which can be found on the Student Info tab under Student Information.

Keeping Device Up to Date

One of the most important things to do is restart your device every couple of days to make sure it's up to date. Do this by clicking the time in the bottom right corner of your screen and clicking the shut down button in the settings panel (#2 shown below). Then, restart your device by pressing the power button on the right side of the Chromebook (#2 shown above in the Hardware Details section of this webpage).
