Meet the Library Media Specialist

Hello! My name is Mrs. Mock and I am super excited to be Forest Hill's Library Media Specialist!

A little about myself...

​I was born and raised right here in the Memphis area. I am a University of Memphis (Go Tigers!) alum. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and a Master's Degree in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership. I am a certified and licensed teacher with an endorsement as a School Library Information Specialist K-12. I am married to my best friend (21 years now!) and we have a 19 year old son (who loves to read, just like his mom!).

This is my 4th year at Forest Hill Elementary and my 10th year with our district.

I also serve as Germantown Municipal School District's Lead Librarian.

Meet the Library Assistant!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Maria Cox (the students call me "Mrs. M") and I am super excited to be Forest Hill Elementary's Library Assistant!

A little about myself...

​I was born in beautiful North Carolina and moved to Tennessee when I was twelve years old. I attended Mississippi State University, University of Memphis, and CBU, where I earned my M.A.T. in Elementary Education. My husband Drew and I have three kids that are my favorite people ever! After taking time to be a stay-at-home mom and working in ministry, I am delighted to be back in a school setting, especially in the Library, as reading is one of my favorite pastimes! My other hobbies include baking, hiking, white-water rafting, and spending time with my family and our three hilarious dogs.

This is my first year at FHES and I love getting to know these amazing students! FHES is truly a unique place and I'm thrilled to be here! Go Foxes!
