Permission Slips & Payment are due by Thursday, September 18th for students that would like to attend.
Our first Alachua County Band Skate Night at Skate Station Funworks, 5:15 - 7:15 pm is on Friday, September 26th. All of our middle school band programs combine together to host a Skate Night event for our band students! The cost is $12.00 for Unlimited Attractions (Skating, Rock Climbing, Mini Golf, and Jump Works) and a permission slip will need to be turned in before the event (tickets will not be sold at the door).
Eligibility - Students must have no more than 10 absences for the first semester, an A, B or C in Band, a 2.0 GPA for the first semester, and no discipline referrals for the first semester to be eligible.
This event is ONLY for MIDDLE SCHOOL band students. This is a very popular and we want to make sure there is room for all of the MS Band students that would like to attend. Unfortunately we can not accommodate families and siblings. We appreciate your understanding.
This is NOT a mandatory event - This is just a fun, social event for the students. If you do not want your child to participate, they are not required.
Chaperone Sign Up Coming Soon - Chaperones must be Level II cleared. Click Here for more information. We will have adult band directors supervising students at the Skate Night but will also need parent/guardian volunteers to chaperone.
Concessions will be available - The concession stand will be open and students should bring extra money if they would like to purchase food.
7:15 Parent Pick Up - Please plan to pick up your child at 7:15 in front of Skate Station.
Permission to Stay Later - Students that wish to reenter Skate Station for free at 7:30 and have turned in a signed consent form (separate from the permission slip) IN ADVANCE, will be allowed to stay. There is NO SUPERVISION inside of Skate Station after 7:15. Students will be on their own. The general public, including people over the age of 18, will be allowed in starting at 7:30.
