Dear OVMS Band Parents,
We are preparing for the annual Valentine’s Dance! This is a major general fundraiser for the band and the proceeds go to enriching the program for our children by funding things like new music and instruments. Last year's dance was very fun and extremely successful for our band program and we need your help to make this year's dance just as fantastic!
About the Dance
Date: The dance will be held on Friday, February 6th from 3-5pm in the school cafeteria for 6th-8th grade students. There will be a separate dance during the school day for 5th grade students.
Tickets: Tickets are $5 and include entrance to the dance, snacks, and one canned drink. Tickets will be sold during each lunch period, Monday – Wednesday the week of the dance. Attendance is limited and we sell out quickly every year. Make sure your students get their tickets early in the week!
Candy Grams will also be sold during ticket sales for $1 each.
Additional items available for purchase at the dance:
Students can buy activity tickets at the dance to purchase additional drinks or snacks, turns at the CakeWalk, taking pictures at the Photo Booth, and other activities. Activity Tickets are $1 each or $5 for 6 tickets.
Volunteering and Donations
There are many ways you can help make this fundraiser a success! Please see the SignUp Genius below to sign up for ticket sales, chaperoning, and much needed donations. These donations are pivotal for keeping our operating costs low, so we can maximize our fundraising profit for the band program. We also love chaperones and there are many ways to help the day of the dance! Please note: only people who have signed up to chaperone on the Sign Up Genius will be allowed on campus for the dance.
