NHS MS Marching Band Night

Agenda for the Evening:

4:45 Arrive and check in at Newberry High School (Families will drop students off at NHS)
5:00 On field practice with NHS Band

6:00 NHS Band Boosters will host a pizza dinner for all students

6:30 Warm up with NHS Band
7:00 March to the stadium with the NHS Band

7:15 Pre-game performance OVMS with NHS Band

7:30 Kick-off, play in the stands

8:45 Half Time Performance by the NHS Band (OVMS watches) – Time approximate

9:00 Half Time Over – Parents, please pick your child up at the bus circle area of Newberry High School. We will not be coming back to OVMS! Please be prompt. Mrs. Pirzer WILL NOT be staying until the end of the game.

**Students that wish to stay until the end of the game must have a note signed by a parent. There will not be supervision after half time when
Mrs. Pirzer leaves.

Chaperones - Level II
We are allowed a limited number of chaperones and chaperones will be allowed into the game for free. All chaperones must be Level II cleared. Chaperones would need to arrive by 5:30 to help with dinner and stay until the end of halftime, approximately 9:30pm. Click Here to Sign Up to Chaperone

Newberry Veterans Memorial Donation

Thank You Oak View!

Thank you to everyone that purchased an OVMS Veterans Day t-shirt. All of the proceeds are going to support the Newberry Veterans Memorial. The band presented a donation of $700.00 on behalf of OVMS to the Newberry Veterans Memorial on Wednesday, October 17th.

Congratulations Concert & Symphonic Bands

The concert and symphonic bands were recognized at the May 7th school board meeting for earning Straight Superior ratings at the 2024 FBA Concert Music Performance Assessment. Representing the Concert Band: Isaac M., Emmalee O; Representing the Symphonic Band: Diya M., Amber L.

Boston Brass was AWESOME!!!

Students had a wonderful time learning from and performing with the Boston Brass on February 23rd! It is an experience we will all remember for years to come.
