The class that comes after Algebra 1. Passing this class is required for graduating high school.
(the test at the end of the year is 30% of your grade but passing that not required for graduation- last year 100% pass rate for Cambridge/Team)

Welcome to Geometry Cambrigde/Team! I am honored to be your teacher and look forward to getting to know each of you throughout this year. This course is a study of mathematics, thinking through the logic of proofs and shapes. We will explore Geometric properties used everywhere around us and how to prove these things. This will be a workout for your brain as we explore things we see everyday in a new light.
We will be working along with our textbook and practice beyond the textbook. Vocabulary will also be an important component for Geometry. Along with allowing your brain to grow we will also be working to help prepare the students for the FSA Exam.
We will be starting the year reviewing Algebra because Algebra 1 is a foundation that Geometry builds off of.
The team aspect of this class includes:
Going into more depth in the math, especially for the topics which are using in math competitions.
20 point quiz grade in Q3 based on participating in Team activities such as:
Team practices, Competitions(on Saturdays), Winning trophies Tutoring, & Volunteer work w/ team.
[basically boils down to 1 hour = 1 point]Any points beyond the 20 or in one of the first 2 quarters are extra credit.
