SPONSOR A BANDLING

Although a limited amount of items, music and instruments can be purchased and repaired with district money, there is simply no way around running a 325+ member band program without an immense alternative source of funding. Therefore, every band student is asked to contribute a financial equivalent to their ensemble/class rigor. Although fundraising opportunities occur throughout the school year, many families struggle to meet the time and financial obligations. The cost of each per-student donation is:

$100 Beginning Band + $150 Concert Band + $175 Symphonic Band/Winds + $875 Wind Ensemble + $100 Jazz Band + $100 Color Guard

SPONSOR A PIECE OF MUSIC AT A CONCERT

Did you know that every piece of music performed by the Kanapaha Band costs around $75??

At a concert featuring 3 bands, with four selections each, our band pays $900 just for the opportunity to perform!

Here's where you come in! You can help offset the costs of individual pieces of music for whichever band you want by sponsoring one (or more) of the selections at each concert throughout the school year. This sponsorship also includes your printed name (unless you request to be annonymous) in the digital concert program if our concert is hosted on our campus at KMS.

SPRING TRIP SPONSOR

Each year the Kanapaha Band takes an out of state and overnight trip in order to extend the learning and performance opportunities from inside to outside of the classroom. Our students work very hard to prepare for this annual event and they raise money year-round in order to experience this special trip. We are looking for sponsors who may be willing to help offset the cost of the travel expenses in order to bring the cost down for each family.

IN ORDER TO CALCULATE THE FINAL COST OF THE TRIP, THIS SPONSOR SHOULD BE IN PLACE BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2026.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN DONATION

Many Hands Make Light Work!

This year, our band family grew through the addition of a color guard program. Indoor color guard, more frequently know and referred to as winterguard, requires the use of a massive tarp that serves as the floor for shows. These floors range in cost depending on the size and design that is printed on it. This year we were lucky enough to borrow the beautiful floor seen above from Buchholz High School. It is our goal to purchase our own floor that aligns with our show's theme and design for the 2026-27 school year. Our goal of $5,000 would allow us the freedom to select a quality floor that will uphold the test of time, movement, and of course, 12+ students dancing and tossing flags on top!
