January 17th 2025 @ Jacoby Hall, Jacksonville, FL

The Fort Clarke Band traveled to Jacksonville to see Star Wars: A New Hope, performed by the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. This series is part of 'Symphonic Night at the Movies' which features iconic cinema on the screen with the soundtrack being performed by a live orchestra. This trip was from a galaxy far far away... out of this world! We will definitely be going back! 

December 20th 2024 @ the Fort Clarke Middle School 

The Fort Clarke Symphonic Band helped ring in the Winter Break with an annual tradition: caroling around Fort Clarke!

December 6th 2024 @ the Florida State University 

The Fort Clarke Band traveled to Tallahassee with two full charter busses to witness the Florida State University College of Music's annual spectacle that is PRISM!

September 7th 2024 @ Fort Clarke Middle School

This past Saturday we had BAND FIELD DAY!

May 22nd 2024 @ The Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts 

The 2023-24 Fort Clarke Symphonic Band got to perform together one last time at the Phillips Center. Our students performed for an hour before the Promotion Ceremony.

March 29th 2024 @ Universal Orlando Resort

Our Symphonic Band got the chance to visit a real-life recording studio this past Saturday. We had the opportunity to record the soundtrack to Minions! 

We also learned about other aspects of the movie industry including Voice Acting; Casting; Sound/Audio Engineering; and the Art of Foley!

March 23rd 2024 @ Buchholz HS

31 Fort Clarke Band students got to perform the theme from Star Wards with the Dallas Brass alongside students from Kanapaha Middle School, in a joint concert with hosts Buchholz High School.

Founded in Dallas, TX in 1983 by Michael Levine, Dallas Brass has become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles. The group has established a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with a full complement of drums and percussion, which creates a performing entity of extraordinary range and musical challenges. Dallas Brass repertoire includes classical masterpieces, Dixieland, swing, Broadway, Hollywood and patriotic music. 

February 23rd 2024 @ Gainesville HS

12 Fort Clarke 8th Graders were selected to perform with the Boston Brass as part of the Alachua County Middle School All-Star Band!  

Since 1986 Boston Brass has set out to establish a one-of-a-kind musical experience, featuring colorful classical arrangements, burning jazz standards, and the best of original brass repertoire. Boston Brass treats audiences to a unique brand of musical entertainment that bridges the ocean of classical formality to delight regular concertgoers and newcomers alike with great music and boisterous fun. The quintet has played to audiences in all 50 U.S. states, and over 30 countries.

2 Fort Clarke Band Students, Haley C. - Clarinet and Jack W. - Euphonium,  were selected via audition for this year's 2024 Florida Middle School All-State Band. This is a tremendous honor, and these students should be incredibly proud! Congrats Haley and Jack! 

December 14th 2023 @ Buchholz High School

The Fort Clarke Band Program presented it's annual Winter Concert last night to a packed house at Buchholz High School. Thank you to the BHS Band for always being such gracious hosts! Our presentation also featured a collab with the FCMS Art Department featuring student artwork on the performance stage.

The Fort Clarke Symphonic Band was the featured ensemble for this year's Alachua County Veterans Day Celebration!
