All applications submitted by the priority registration deadline will be part of our weighted lottery (order listed below) for available spots in the order they are received. Any applications that are submitted after this date will be added to our waiting list in the order they are received. The weighted lottery is determined by the Alachua County School Board and is subject to change. When referring to returning campers in the weighted lottery we are referring to campers who attended the previous summer.
Alachua County residents will be placed first in the order of the weighted lottery. Out of county residents will be placed second in the order of the weighted lottery. Applications received after the priority registration deadline will be placed last in the order they are received giving preference to Alachua County residents.
Campers are placed in the following order (Weighted Lottery):
Returning campers who attended the previous Summer who apply by the priority registration deadline.
Siblings of returning campers who apply for the same session
Ninth grade campers (last year) and siblings
Second grade campers and siblings
Other returning campers
New campers
Our sessions fill up quickly and usually generate a waiting list. Applications not drawn in the first-round lottery and those received after the deadline will be placed on the waiting list. Spots will be offered to families on the waiting list as they become available throughout the year preference being given to Alachua County residents.
Please list any second or third choice sessions on the application where it asks. If your camper is not placed in their first choice session, they will be placed on a waiting list for any preferred sessions.
