Welcome second grade teachers, parents, and students. We look forward to your field trip and hope the information below will help you prepare for your day at camp!
It is our goal to create an experiential environment where second and fifth grade students are able to develop an appreciation, knowledge, and understanding of North Central Florida's ecosystems. Students will also have the opportunity to experience community learning and team building.
The information below will help teachers and chaperones prepare for their day at camp. We look forward to hosting your class at Camp Crystal Lake.
Your class will participate in some of the following activities while at camp: a bus ride, ecosystem hike, hayride, and a visit to our museum to learn about animal habitats, adaptations and taxidermy. As well as lunch in our dining hall!
The activities and the order of activities can change depending on the climate and the needs of a specific group. School groups arrive at Camp Crystal lake around 9:30am and leave camp no later than 12:30pm.
Lunch options for second grade generally include cheese pizza stromboli, fresh baby carrots with ranch dressing, applesauce cup and milk and/or water.
Please check your school board email for information and forms for your Camp Crystal Lake trip. If you have any questions, please email our director, Landon, at stracklm@gm.sbac.edu or call our office at (855) 651-2267.
