I have been painting for only the last two or three years. Painting has sort of become a sort of a side hobby for me while I’m in school. As for my inspiration, I can’t really say where I first got inspired but I can say I have always admired fanart for games and YouTubers that I’ve watched.
For my brushes, I usually keep at least one or two brushes of every size. For instance, my two smaller brushes have thinner tips, my medium brushes are a little more blocky and square and my largest brush is wide enough to cover a good area, especially for some of my bigger paintings. As for my colors, I’ll usually mix it either on the paper or on the canvas to get the shades that I want/need for some pieces. When it’s an idea or recreation that I’m more passionate about and want to be perfect, I’ll either sketch it out or draw it with help from a grid. My work usually consists of the things I’m interested in at the time. One of my latest paintings has been a neon Ghostface picture that glows under a blacklight. Some other paintings have been two halves of the different sides of my jester, Xylovicus. When put together, they make one painting.
For the future, I’m going to continue bringing things to life on the canvas with the ideas that interest me. Some will even appear on things like mirrors instead! So far I only have two of those planned where it’s going to be an inspiring quote from a game painting on the mirror so that when you read it, you’re a part of the painting. Other than that, I’m really hoping I can bring some of my other ideas to life with ease!
