Anyone working with 4th or 5th grade students also has access to Storia through INFOhio (https://www.infohio.org/resources/gk5). It is limited to 4th or 5th grade.

  • Storia (https://www.infohio.org/resources/item/storia). It does require a quick signup if you haven’t already. The access code for GIS is F2YFM6P. 9 classes can use this code with up to 45 students each. I’ve attached more information about Storia and the state standards.

  • Newsela - The first resource is Newsela which is LOADED with great content. I secured district access from them for the rest of the year. Click here for a pdf with instructions. All you have to do is make a login (free) and you have content (text sets, articles, readings, etc.) in most core subject areas.

  • Gale Resources. This was shared by Sally Gummere at GHS, and has materials for many grade levels with support. Here is their information.
    · Gale in Context-Middle School
    · Gale-Kids Infobits (Elementary)

  • Generation Genius school subscription includes a "student links" feature that can be very helpful in situations of school closings:
    - Using your account, your teachers can visit www.GenerationGenius.com and click "Generate Student Link" right under the lesson they want to share. Students/parents can then visit that link to access the lesson from anywhere, in 1-click, without needing to login, create account, register, etc, etc.

  • Math Resources - Molly's list from PD Day

  • McCrary's Math Mindbenders - Site with math extensions and problem solving activities

  • Scholastic Classroom - This is amazing! Scholastic has interactive activities for kids to interact with at home. Kids do NOT need to log in or have any kind of code. Heads up, they are only planning to put out 20 days of lessons (4 activities each), so you may want to break these up over time. They are sorted into grade bands 3-5 and 6+.

https://www.readworks.org/ - These are great websites that has ELA texts and questions. You could create a class account, but it may be easier to just download the PDF of the text and questions and put into schoology.

  • Live nonfiction read aloud - students would need to sign up and there are meeting dates starting on Tuesday, 3/17
