Shakti

Leadership for empowered girl students

Project Shakti aims to prepare School Leaders on gender-inclusive approaches to school re-enrollment and continued education of girl students.

A report* from the Malala Fund estimates that in light of COVID-19, 20 million more secondary school-aged girls could be out of school after the crisis has passed . Global School Leaders launched a pilot program, Shakti , to train School Leaders to implement strategies focused on re-enrolling girls back into school following COVID-19 closures. The program was launched in India and Kenya with the help of our partners, Alokit* and Dignitas*. The program was made possible with the support of Echidna Giving*
