"Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world" –Nelson Mandela
"Prejudices, it is well known, are most difficult to eradicate from the heart whose soil has never been loosened or fertilized by education: they grow there, firm as weeds among stones.” –Charlotte Brontë
About this Project
We aim to increase community resilience by reducing racial bias and strengthening connections among community members from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. No one is born a racist; racism is learned behavior. To this end, education is an essential tool of transformation.
Project Objectives
Participants build personal connections with diverse community members and community leaders, including law enforcement, educators, and faith leaders.
Diverse community members and leaders have an increased willingness to work collaboratively to solve community problems.
