GCPS will continue to offer a robust suite of voluntary benefits. These benefits provide employees with additional protection against out-of-pocket expenses related to certain conditions/incidents.
Please note that employees enrolled in the VRS Hybrid Retirement Plan are not eligible to enroll in short-term disability insurance because disability coverage is provided at no-cost to all VRS Hybrid Retirement Plan participants.

AFLAC Plan Brochures:
Due to the Virginia State Law, AFLAC has removed wellness from the hospital plan. The new plan will have the same benefits, but the wellness will be removed (note: there is no grandfathering, all employees who have this benefit will be on the new version without wellness).
Employees who are enrolled or wish to enroll into AFLAC Critical Illness, the plan will remain the same and still have wellness benefits. Refer to below plan brochure when reviewing coverages:
