WEEK 2 : ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION
We Are Learning To: Use addition and subtraction to create a balanced budget and track our savings goals.
I can:
[ ] Identify and calculate total income by adding up all incoming money (e.g., allowance, earnings, gift money).
[ ] Subtract total expenses (needs vs. wants) from total income to find our remaining balance.
[ ] Calculate a savings goal by using subtraction to determine how much money is still needed to buy an item.
[ ] Adjust a budget so that Total Income = Total Expenses + Savings.
WEEK 1: TERM 3
This week we are exploring how money works using place value. We will:
Break down dollars and cents using decimals.
Compare prices using > and < symbols.
Add and subtract amounts to find totals and change.
Round our totals to the nearest ten cents

Week 9/ 10/ 11: Number Operations & Measurement
WALT:
We are learning to calculate accurately using number operations and apply them to measurement problems.
Success Criteria:
I can add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers correctly
I can follow the correct order of operations
I can calculate the perimeter of rectangles, squares, and regular polygons
I can calculate the area of rectangles and right-angled triangles
WEEK 6
WALT:
We are learning to describe and predict transformations of 2D shapes and find positions on maps using grid references and directions.
Success Criteria:
I can say what reflection, translation, and rotation mean
I can predict what happens when shapes are moved in two steps
I can use grid references (like A1, B2) to find spots on a map
I can use directions (north, south, east, west) to explain positions
I can use scales, turns, and distances to describe how to get somewhere
Term 2 Week 1

Read, write, and represent tenths, hundredths, and up to thousandths accurately.
Compare and order decimals using place value.
Add decimals correctly, aligning decimal points.
Solve real-life problems involving decimals and whole numbers.
