WHAT IS ART
We were exploring and learning about the different islands (countries) that are in the South Pacific Oceans and the flags that represent each islands, which we added to our passport. We also explored and experimented different patterns used to create tapa/siapo cloths.
AFRICA:
We were exploring different dances and creating beautiful art after looking at the beautiful sunsets and amazing animals of Africa.
We also discovered that some tribes in Africa use colourful patterns to decorate their huts - we tried to recreate these patterns.
Japan:
We were exploring different children's stories and traditions that are done in Japan. One of the most popular traditions is making 'koinobori' (fish kites) that are flown on Children's Day.
We also looked at some traditional Japanese clothing which were the 'Kimono' and 'Geta' (sandals).
