Summer Non-Contact Period

In the spring of 2014, the Super Essex Conference adopted new legislation that will require each school in the SEC to close down their athletic program during the summer for a nine day period, more specifically a designated 9 day period that there should be no summer practices taking place, strength room obligations, or other school related sessions occurring. It is the feeling of the SEC that these nine days are an opportunity for families to spend time together and have no demands placed on them by their children playing a sport at the high school that they attend so with this being the case, we would like to announce that this nine day period will occur from Friday, July 26th, 2024 through and including Sunday, August 4th, 2024.  Teams will be allowed to meet again on Monday, August 5, 2024.

Again, the Ridger athletic department will not be conducting any activities during this nine day period this coming summer however if parents decide to enroll their children in summer athletic camps or other activities during these nine days that is something families must decide however our programs will not be able to conduct any activities between July 26th - August 4th.

Hopefully this information will assist families in scheduling their summer activities and vacations.
