Prerequisite: None
Through the use of demonstrations, and learning activities, the students will utilize the basic drawing tools and techniques of the technical illustrator to create production drawings. Basic skills will be developed using AutoCAD software to create computer drawings. The concepts of orthographic projection, 3D modeling and pictorial representation will be taught in addition to dimensioning and notation. AutoCAD software using a PC platform is the primary drawing program. Students who wish to proceed further will enroll in CAD II where they will broaden their knowledge of CAD
