About me
Bonjour! Je m'appelle Mme Chiang. This is my 20th year teaching French and 19th year at Glen Ridge High School. I truly love what I do. Here's a bit of background on my education. I studied at Seton Hall University and earned my M.A. from Montclair State University. At SHU, I majored in French and Secondary Education and minored in Psychology.
At MSU, I earned my Master's in French Language writing my thesis, The Making of a Monet: Japonisme and Financial Necessity.
I've studied abroad in Paris at the Sorbonne University and also in Nice at Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis.
I completed my +32 with a certificate in Integrating Technology in the Classroom.
In 2014 , 2017 and recently in 2025 our Glen Ridge World Language department took our French students abroad to Paris, and in 2015, 2018 and 2023 we traveled with our students to Quebec, Canada.
These experiences mean the world to my students, my co-workers and to me as we could apply what we learned during our French classes together on our trips.
First trip to Canada,
April 2015
Our most recent trip in April 2023!!!
