Welcome to 6th Grade Math!

I'm so excited to be your teacher this year!! No matter what your experience with math has been in the past, I'm excited to meet you where you are and help you understand it! One of my favorite things to do is to work with students and help them get that light bulb to turn on. I love helping them realize they can do it!! We will work together as a team!!

A little bit about me:

This is my 22nd year of teaching and my 20th year at Goddard Middle School!! Time really flies!! I've taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, 6th grade and 8th grade. My favorite grade to work with is 6th grade because I love helping our new students figure out this thing called Middle School. It is such an important time in your life and I love helping students navigate all of the parts that come with it. I love Goddard, love math, and love 6th graders, so this the perfect job for me! Just know that, yes, I'm your math teacher, but I can also help with whatever else may come up that you may need. Come see me anytime if I can help in any way.

My husband, Brian, and I have two amazing sons, Tyler and Dylan. Tyler is a sophomore and Dylan is an 8th grader. We enjoy swimming, bike rides, and huge nerf fights in our home :) Both of the boys play basketball, soccer, and are in band--so we keep pretty busy! We are very involved in our church and love spending time with family. One of our favorite places to go is Hume Lake. We also have a golden doodle, named Bailey, whom we think is the cutest and best dog ever!
