Practice our new words!
Matching game
Matching games are a fun way to practice new words. Remember, if you find a pair you must say the word in SPANISH.
Here's what you'll need to do to get started...
Print the cards and cut them out. You might need help from an older sibling or a parent.
Place all the cards face down and in rows.
Take turns flipping over two cards at a time. If you get a match, use your best Spanish to say the word.
Have fun!
Word search
Working by yourself or with a family member, find each vocabulary word. As you find the words, practice saying them in your best Spanish!
Vocabulary scavenger hunt!
This is a familiar activity from Spanish class. Here's what you'll need to do....
Print the cards and cut them out.
Ask a parent or sibling to place them around the room or around the house. If you need to use tape, ask a grown-up first!
Now you can begin searching for the words. Remember, you are writing the words in Spanish. As you find the cards, see if you can use your best Spanish to say each word. Try your best!

Vocabulary practice
Trace the vocabulary words, take your time! Next, draw a picture for each word. Example: el sol draw a sun.
If you need help, use the matching game or the vocabulary practice slides.
Draw and label activity
Draw a detailed and colorful spring portrait. Use the vocabulary sheet to label your drawing in Spanish. You can ask a parent to take a picture of your portrait and send it to me at mcbridea@glencoeschools.org. I'd love to see your drawings!
