NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY GUIDELINES

• Membership requires that students have completed a minimum of one semester in art and maintain a B average.

• Membership requires that the student be currently or previously (1^st or 2^nd semester) enrolled in an art class.

• Annual $5.00 membership/renewal fee for each student member. Student must reapply for membership each year.

• Membership based upon art scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

• Members must attend eighty percent of all meetings.

• Members must participate in at least seventy percent of all activities.

This is a sample of things that we can do as NAHS members:

• Maintain displays of artwork and displays of art as related to the instructional program.

• Act as hosts for special school occasions and serve as volunteers for selected functions.

• Participate in field trips to various art galleries, museums, and universities.

• Demonstrations at local junior highs.

• Schedule an after school art day.

• Sponsor an art exhibit from local schools (High School and Junior High).

• Organize an eighth grade art workshop.

• Participate in art/design contests.

• Participate in Springfest.

• Raise money for humanitarian causes.
