The combined choirs of GBS and GBN will join guest conductor, Dr. Eric Esparza of DePaul University, on March 8th, 2020 with a concert at 3:00 pm at Glenbrook South.

This concert gives the students an opportunity to perform with a full orchestra and experience working with a nationally known choral conductor.  Tickets are currently available at www.showtix4u.com for $7.  Use the search term “glenbrook”.

Monday, December 16th

Our second concert of the year is tomorrow, Tuesday, December 17th.  This concert is free to the public and will be held in the GBS Auditorium @ 7:30pm.  The concert will feature all of the curricular and extracurricular choirs of GBS as well as choirs from Attea, Maple and Springman. We expect a runtime of 90 minutes.  Hope to see you there! Be sure to arrive early as this concert has a high attendance and offers general seating.

Wednesday, October 23rd

Our first concert of the year is this-coming Tuesday, October 29th.  This concert is free to the public and will be held in the GBS Auditorium @ 7:30pm.  The concert will feature all of the curricular and extracurricular choirs of GBS. We expect a runtime of 70-80 minutes.  Hope to see you there!

Thursday, August 22nd

Today and tomorrow, choral students are receiving information about when they are scheduled to come and get measurements taken for their concert attire. This exact information can also be found to the left. Each file is designated by choir and type of attire your student will be getting fitted for. 

Attire (minus shoes) are all provided to students for no cost, but must be returned at the end of the year in similar or same condition.

Measurements are taken by our veteran, mother-daughter costuming team: Barb and Lori Blohm.  Each fitting will be roughly 5 minutes long.  

If your student is unable to be at their assigned time window for fittings. Please arrange an alternate time with Barb or Lori using the contact information provided in the documents to the left. They are very flexible and kind!

Tuesday, August 20th

District 225 offers space to highly-qualified private voice teachers during school hours to provide individual lessons for GBS students at additional cost (see printable form to left).  Students may take these lessons once a week during their curricular choir class, lunch, SRT, or after school. Please fill out the Sign-Up Form found here and turn it in to your choir director.

There will be three extracurricular concerts celebrating the hard work of our vocal groups. All concerts are open to the general public!

Friday, May 31 at 6:30pm & 8:30pm: Scat That at Glenbrook South Choir Room, $5 at door

Friday, June 7 at 6:30pm & 8:30pm: Nine & Solace at Glenbrook South Choir Room, $5 at door

The Chamber Singers callback audition will be Friday 5/10 from 5:00-6:30pm in the Orchestra Room. The callback information and music PDFs are attached below.

Our long-standing tradition of performing with Glenbrook North at the Techy Towers returns this year!  Students will be under the direction of guest conductor Paul Rausch. Tickets are available at www.showtix4u.com.  Search term "glenbrook".

We are excited to announce that the audition materials for this year’s Glenbrook Musical, “Mamma Mia,” are now available! There will be an audition workshop at GBS from 3:30 to 4:15 on Monday, February 25th in the Choir Room. The initial auditions will be held after school on Tuesday, February 26th at GBS and Wednesday, February 27th at GBN and will consist of a vocal audition and a dance call. Further information and audition materials are available below. We hope you will come join us for this exciting production!
