Ensembles

Curricular Ensembles

Choirs meet during the school day as a curricular class. Placement in each choir is primarily dependent on grade level, and each curricular choir is non-auditioned. Students in each ensemble focus on learning a variety of choral repertoire, music theory and aural skills, sight-reading and music literacy, healthy vocal technique, community building, and performance skills. Curricular choirs perform on five concerts per year with additional smaller performance opportunities depending on the ensemble.

Spartan Choir* - Freshmen/sophomore tenors and basses

Varsity Choir* - Sophomore sopranos and altos

Extracurricular Ensembles

Additionally, GBN Choir offers four extracurricular ensembles for students and one for community members. The student ensembles are by audition for those who wish to enrich their choral experience and have additional performance opportunities.
