The 2025-2026 school year is here, and the Naubuc Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will work hard to enhance the learning experience for all our students. In addition to serving as a communication link between home and school, and providing social opportunities for students and families to get to know each other, we raise funds to be spent on school-related items not funded by the Board of Education budget (your taxpayer dollars).
The PTO has a series of fundraisers throughout the year. You are not expected to participate in all of them! We have found the way to reach the largest number of families is to provide different types of fundraisers so people can choose which they like. Fundraisers planned for this school year include:
Events like Bingo Night and Trunk or Treat
Sales such as Spirit Wear and Butter Braids
Percentage of Sales programs where you pay no extra, but the school benefits from your usual purchases.
Some parents prefer not to participate in fundraisers, but instead we also accept donations to the PTO for the year. This is a welcome alternative. Please see the form below to donate and check if your employer offers matching.
Each year, the PTO raises funds for the benefit of Naubuc Students. The PTO budget is proposed by the Executive Board and must be approved by a vote of members attending the September PTO meeting. This budget explains, in detail, how much money we expect to spend and raise throughout the year. Major expenditures each year include:
Field trips - Local event to build on our student's curriculum
Technology & Engineering - Eureka Lab, Engineering Club, Design Club
Cultural Arts and STEAM Night - Engaging speakers, musicians and presentations to bring classroom topics to life for students
Weekly planners given to all students in grades 3 through 5 to help manage homework assignments and facilitate parent/teacher communication
Support for school-wide events like the Art Show and Field Day
Teacher Appreciation - Back to school welcome and spring Appreciation Week
At each monthly PTO meeting, the Treasurer provides a report listing funds received and spent, as well as a year-to-date budget. We are proud to say, over the past five years we have:
Contributed picnic tables to the new outdoor classroom
Kindergarten Playground renovations
Provided yearly cultural enrichment for students
Purchased a green screen for the technology department and Sound system installation for Drama
PTO is 100% funded by Parents and friends & family of our students. Your contributions are what enables us to continue giving back to Naubuc for years to come.
